Not many of us could afford to own and fly the legendary Spitfire today which is a real shame as pretty much all aircraft lovers would love to experience a flight in one.
With this in mind we have made a road going version based on our three wheeler concept. It re-creates the look and feel of the aircraft with its styling and sliding single seat cockpit canopy.
The car is built to order so it is available in any livery from that of original aircraft to your own design. The Spitfire shaped grp body is formed around a tubular stainless steel spaceframe chassis that’s very strong but light.
The car can be powered by a choice of two engines, a 1.2 litre three cylinder or a 1.2 litre V6 and were even developing a fully electric version. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a six speed manual gearbox.
The car runs on fully independent suspension with specially made aero shaped top and bottom front A arms. Even the wheels are made to resemble original Spitfire wheels. Disc brakes are fitted all round.
The interior is finished to look like an original Spitfire cockpit with an aluminium seat and padded leather inserts and aircraft style cut down steering wheel and aircraft style gauges. A full 5 point harness is fitted. Other interior options are available as the vehicle is fully bespoke.
Aluminium bucket seats offer greater comfort than the originals but retain the look and feel of the Spitfire seats
